P. Kuhder is a painter, photographer and multimedia artist based in Toronto, Canada.
P. Kuhder was born in Germany where he studied Audiovisual Media Design and later Economics and Chinese Culture. Before he turned to art full time P. Kuhder used to be a visual effects artist and art department member for award winning television advertising (Cannes Lions, ADC, Epica, Clio, etc.).
Through set lighting, post production, color correction and all these filmmaking related arts, Kuhder finally arrived at a more traditional form of storytelling and thinking about light, hues and values: oil painting.
P. Kuhder paints predominantly but not exclusively in oil on linen canvas or displays his digital art with screens and projections. His main influences and inspirations come from 17th century European art, modern painters and his strong love for music.
