About This Project

I used to own a 60s Vintage Player Fender Stratocaster. I enjoyed the guitar a lot but for my liking the sound of the pickups was a little too thin and bright. After I sold it back in Germany and not having one single coil guitar in my collection, I decided to build the successor myself and am very pleased with the resulting instrument!

The specs are:

  • 60s Telecaster Thinline Body (Alder) in Aged Sonic Blue and reliced
  • Maple Neck (21 frets) with matching Stratocaster Headstock
  • 2x TV Jones Starwood Pickups
  • Fender Locking Tuners and String Trees
  • Grover Vintage Bridge
  • Schaller Lock Straps

On the 12th fret I painted a koi carp in a very bright cadmium orange.

This guitar is not for sale but you will catch me on stage with it!
