Encaustic Oil Painting on Canvas

Since I arrived in Canada, Mont Tremblant has become a regular skiing destination for me. I especially liked the evening light and the contrast between the warm orange skies against the icy blue slopes.

I am also trying to improve my art in building the frames. I built one for this painting from stained pine wood with two coats of different paints, reminiscent of Fender guitars’ Olympic White and Seafoam Green with a distressed finish that you would find on a well played instrument from the 60s.
